8th grade science student are participating in a project to help the LIVING LANDS & WATERS with their spring distribution of 100,000+ oak trees throughout the Midwest. The trees need to be individually wrapped in wet newspaper, bagged and tagged. The finished trees are then bundled in groups of 100.The goal of the science students today is to wrap, dip and tag 5,000 trees to be distributed by LIVING LANDS & WATERS.A group of students from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, volunteered spring break time to be here and assist the BMS students with this project.

The LIVING LANDS & WATERS started their own tree nursery in Davenport,IA in 2014.They reached their goal in 2016 and they are now working on planting their next million.More can be learned about this project at http://livinglandsandwaters.org/volunteer/million-trees/
