2/6/25 - Bettendorf High School will administer the ASVAB test in the Career Center. What’s the ASVAB? The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a standardized test that measures a person's aptitude for military and civilian careers. It's administered by the Department of Defense.
Who can take the ASVAB? Everyone who wants to enlist in the U.S. military must take the ASVAB. If you don’t plan to enlist, the ASVAB can still help you discover your career strengths and weaknesses.
Military
The ASVAB results help decide which jobs a person can do after they enlist. Each branch of the military sets its own minimum score to join. Your ASVAB category scores determine job opportunities based on your knowledge and skills in 10 different areas.Career Exploration
The ASVAB helps people figure out what career paths could be ideal matches for them. The ASVAB Career Exploration Program helps students identify their strengths and align them with civilian careers in areas like healthcare, technology, or trades. The ASVAB is free, providing a cost-effective way to explore career interests and aptitudes without commitment. The test results can guide decisions about college, technical schools, or skilled trades, even for students not pursuing the military. Signup HERE
